I've been on holiday, what's your excuse? My brother still lives in the north west so I think you'll have missed the floods - to the east in Yorkshire and to the south in the Midlands. We've had sunshine and showers, but the last downpour brought some flooding to north Hampshire. Missing reading your blog...

Be good to have you back, hope the absence has been due to pleasant reasons!

Glad to see you back! And loved the piece about the Lord Chamberlain's Men - though couldn't get into their website for some reason.I wonder how their productions compare with those of the touring Globe company.... who are doing Romeo and Juliet this month at the Claremont Gardens open air theatre near Esher, and promise an 'original' take. Wonder what that will be? (Might not be able to make it there, mind you - as it clashes with our own holiday.)

Good hearing you and very much enjoyed your photos and your friend's poetry.

Read all about your holiday on your blog!

Apprentive:
Yep.
Very pleasant!

Beatrice:
Sounds interesting, although I trust this awful summer wont literally put a permanent dampener on outdoor theatre...

Lizzie:
Thanks for your interest Lizzzie!
